Developing occupational training standards
Bosch has put in place a train the trainer program to ensure professional training for the company’s apprentices. Trainers receive a total of 25 days training in study groups, workshops, and supervised sessions to hone their skills in educational theory, conflict management, and teaching methods. We have also further developed our occupational training standards, and this also includes raising the number of women at the company. Each location is required to offer a special program for young women at least once a year, and to stage an event such as a “Girls’ Day.” Finally, we also want our apprentices to get to know international locations at an early age and improve their foreign language skills. To help our associates identify more closely with Bosch, we have also geared our occupational training standards to the House of Orientation.
