Many people are unable to work due to a lack of skills, illness, or a disability. However, as their motivation is usually very high, Bosch has introduced a number of programs to ensure that they are not excluded from working life. In Hallein (Austria), we work with the Austrian foundation Implacement-Stiftung to provide training courses, lasting up to two years, to prepare older or poorly qualified unemployed people for new jobs. In the last four years, 32 participants have gone on to find permanent employment after the program.
Many locations, such as Vénissieux (France) and Homburg (Germany), are highly committed to integrating disabled persons into the workforce, and cooperate in these endeavors with the institutions that care for these people. For many years, the Homburg location has exceeded by far the statutory quota for the employment of severely disabled people.
