Both as an automotive supplier and as a manufacturer of capital goods, we have enjoyed a reputation as a good employer for many years now. Our subsidiary Bosch Rexroth received an award as “Top employer” in Germany for the first time in 2007. This helps in the race to attract the best people at a time when they are becoming ever harder to find, particularly qualified engineers.
However, it is encouraging to see that graduates are increasingly interested in taking up positions at a company that has a keen sense of social responsibility. Bosch has the edge here thanks to its good reputation and a tradition of social and societal responsibility that reaches back for many years. In a survey conducted last year among junior associates at different companies, we scored higher than our competitors in the “value orientation” and “social commitment” categories.
